Founder's Message
Micro Finance is one of the most important aspects of rural development and has reached a priority status in Sri Lanka. Although training technology know how, risk taking are important inputs in all enterprises, in developing countries like Sri Lanka lack of credit has been identified as major impediment in the development of small business enterprises. Accordingly Agro Micro Finance, which was established as a guarantee company, offers a number of different services, which are suitable to the rural sector. The scheme has achieved its goal of lending to the rural poor and this attained a timely loan recovery of 90% on average.
